Happy Memorial Day!

What an AMAZING weekend! Joe had a half day on Friday and then of course he was off on Monday, so we decided to get out of Columbus for a couple days and go to Gulf Shores, AL. It was beautiful!! The weather was perfect and we spent all day Saturday laying on the white sandy beaches and chocking on the salty Ocean water! The water was perfect and the waves were SO MUCH FUN! We were definitely the biggest kids on the beach hopping around and splashing in the waves! The restaurant across the street from our hotel was called Lulu's and it was owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister. Jimmy was suppose to be there on Saturday, but didn't show up, but his band was great!! There were a few other bands playing all throughout the day too, so we stuck our lawn chairs in the sand and listened to them as we waited to be seated for dinner. We ended our weekend with a cheap and amazing dinner with some people from Joe's class at the local steakhouse in town where they were giving out free entrees to all service members, so that was sweet! We hope everyone had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend!!!
