October Visitors!!

Wow! This has been such a busy month! October is usually such a long month, but it has just flown by this year!! Mom VanDusen flew in to visit on the 11th and stayed with us for the week and Uncle Bob and Aunt Connie came in the 15th and stayed through the weekend. We had such a great time! Right when Mom V. got here we went to an area called Applehill near the Sierra Nevada mountains and we bought fresh apple cider, apple pie, apples, carmel corn, and did a little wine tasting. And there were a ton of people there selling their arts and crafts..it was such a great day! Then on Friday, Joe took us all up to see his airplane and get a personal tour so that was really cool. I've been in it quite a few times now, but it never gets old and he never seizes to amaze me with all the stuff his knows after such a short time. And now if everything falls into place, he should be having his checkride tomorrow and that means he'll be ready to go on trips :/ ugh...I wish I could go too!! :) Jamie and Derrick flew in on Friday and they just left today. We all spent the afternoon in San Francisco on Sunday and went to Alcatraz for the first time. The tour was really interesting...none of us had ever even seen a prison before, so it was really cool. AND we rented to movie "The Rock" the night before to get us pumped up! I can't tell you how excited we are to have people here visiting! It's so nice to have a little piece of home come here to us. It means so much to us that so many of you have planned trips to come see us already. We hope ya'll have a great week! Talk to you soon!
